SSS In Hand Evening Clinic Series: Stronger, Straighter and Suppler

Aim:  To assist the horse to become healthier, fitter, stronger and more able to perform to their optimum by helping them become straighter, stronger and suppler before we start mounted work.

Stronger, Straighter and Suppler in hand approach works supports and is compatible with other training approaches
This work and approach fits closely with the classical training scale for dressage and is also very compatible with other in hand approaches and systems as example shows below:

- Other in hand systems (Parelli, Monty Roberts) achieve obedience, positive attitude, behavior and obedience.
- SSS In-hand approach extends this work in preparation for saddle work by developing strength, balance, straightness and improving suppleness.  Readying your horse for the horse to commence their journey on the classical training scale:

  1. Rhythm
  2. Suppleness
  3. Contact
  4. Straighness
  5. Collection

Who would benefit by attending:

Those who are interested in creating happier healthier horses
Those who would like to gain knowledge regarding balance and self-carriage of their horse
Those who would like to give their young horse the best possible start to their saddle career
Those who are struggling with crooked, weak and possibly rehabilitation with older more experienced horses
Those who would like to improve their older horse’s performance
At Arandth Performance Horses we use this system on all our team from youngsters just commencing their careers to our experienced competition horses.

What you will gain at each clinic:

The sessions will run for approximately 2 hours.  Some of that time will be discussion and demonstration.  Some of the time will be your chance to work with your horse under guidance. The numbers will be restricted to 4 or possibly 5 participants at each session to ensure that every participant can be focused on individually as well as work in a group.
Most benefit will be gained from attending all 3 sessions.   However, if you are unable to do this there is the option to book in for what you can attend and then schedule a session at another time.  These sessions would have to be booked and discussed separately.
